World Trade Organization (WTO) Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has appointed Johanna Hill from El Salvador as the WTO’s new Deputy Director-General.

Hill holds a master’s degree in international economic policy from Columbia University’s School of Public and International Affairs in New York.

Additionally, he holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.

The new Deputy Director speaks Spanish and is fluent in English and French.
